Human-made creative

Made by hand. Judged by numbers.

The feed is filling with generated ad creative, and shoppers have started scrolling past all of it. Our answer is unfashionable: a person makes the work, and the performance data decides whether it stays.

Why hand-made still wins

The feed has adapted

Shoppers have seen enough generated creative to recognise it without being able to name what they are recognising. It reads as an advertisement faster than the old advertisements did, and the scroll happens before the argument starts. The advantage generated work briefly had — volume — is now the thing that makes it invisible.

Texture is the signal

Real hands, real product, real rooms, real light. Not because authenticity is a virtue in itself, but because it is the specific quality that survives a thumb moving at speed. A viewer stops on something that looks like it happened, and generated work has not yet learned to look like it happened.

Volume without judgement is waste

Producing a hundred variants of a weak concept costs almost nothing now, which is precisely why it no longer helps. The scarce input is the decision about what to say — the angle, the objection, the order it is said in. That decision is what we sell; production is downstream of it.

Data decides, not taste

Making creative by hand does not mean defending it. Every asset goes out against a clean baseline and is measured on cost per purchase. Work that does not perform gets replaced regardless of how much anyone liked it, including us.

How a piece gets made

01

Concept

A person studies the product, the buyer and the objection, then writes an angle. Not a prompt, and not the same three templates every store in your category is running.

02

Make

Shot, cut and set in-house. Real hands, real product, real footage — the texture that makes a viewer stop is the part generators cannot produce.

03

Test

Variants go out against a clean baseline and the data decides, not taste. Everything is measured against cost per purchase, never impressions.

04

Rotate

Winners scale and get refreshed before fatigue sets in. Most accounts rotate too late, which is why performance decays quietly for weeks.

Selected work

Nothing here yet, and nothing invented to fill the space. Welorise is new, and the first pieces will appear on this page once they have run and once the client has agreed in writing to be shown. A portfolio of work we did not do would be the fastest way to lose the only argument this page is making.

We do not generate ad creative and pass it off as production. If a concept cannot be made properly, we say so rather than ship filler.

The diagnostic covers the mechanics — tracking, speed, proof — and the audit that follows covers creative properly.
